The Antico Spedale of Bigallo is a building from the 13th century and one of the nicest hostels in Tuscany. It is situated on a hill 5 kilometers southeast of Florence, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city. Transformed over the centuries from a simple shelter for pilgrims into a monastery, it has now been restored into a modern and comfortable Youth Hostel displaying an impressive monastic style.

Hostel Bigallo awaits the third millennium pilgrims who want to live in a timeless space, in contact with nature and the artistic beauty of the most important art cities of Tuscany. The Antico Spitale Bigallo is also a ceremony room with 100 seats for any type of cultural event, but also more mundane ones, as parties, concerts, meetings, exhibitions and conferences.
It is open from April 1 to September 30, however for groups a special opening in other periods of the year can be arranged.
